Hey Cat, Joke’s on You

March 11, 2008

Little did this cat know, but his so-called “best friend” was giving him bunny ears.

Wikipedia says:

Bunny ears – used with palm near someone’s head, from behind, indicates friendship or partner, as folklore of the American Cowboy as did the Lone Ranger and Tonto, who wore two feathers in a V. Typically for a friendly photograph. Sometimes this gesture is performed discreetly to mock the other person in the photo, with either friendly or unfriendly intentions.

It’s fairly obvious that this was meant to humiliate its victim.

The Very First Picture

March 4, 2008

Camera #25 – Picture #1

This picture is the very first one that I saw for the whole project, and, as such, it holds a spot of honour. But, not only that, it was taken on the exact spot that I left it the camera: on a bench at Roads End State Park in Lincoln City, Oregon on August 29, 2006. As you can see, these kids are holding the envelope that was in the package – seemingly as a way to mark the beginning of the journey that they take with the camera. And, they do take a journey. Take a look at Camera #25 to check out their holiday.
