Birds of a Feather

April 16, 2009

I have no idea where this is – it almost looks like some sort of salt flats somewhere – but, I love this pic, with birds of all colours chilling out on a sunny afternoon!

Featured Picture: Lonely Building

April 9, 2009

This building, from Camera #33, looks so lonely. Sure, there’s other buildings around, but they’re all turned away at the edge of the frame, shunning this poor little building – just because it doesn’t have a fresh paint job…

Life is a Highway

November 20, 2008

If life was this highway, I’d wanna ride it all night long! This picture makes me think of fabulous road trips, with nothing but the road, the car, and miles of nothingness all night long. Oh yeah, and some good tunes to take you all the way to wherever you end up.

Most of the rest of Camera #5 documents a road trip to Colorado. Looks like they’re moving!

Gettin’ Creative

July 9, 2008

You gotta give this guy credit for telling the truth! I wonder how long it takes this guy to reach his goal. Unfortunately, it looks like most people are ignoring him, and missing his genius sign.

Hey Cat, Joke’s on You

March 11, 2008

Little did this cat know, but his so-called “best friend” was giving him bunny ears.

Wikipedia says:

Bunny ears – used with palm near someone’s head, from behind, indicates friendship or partner, as folklore of the American Cowboy as did the Lone Ranger and Tonto, who wore two feathers in a V. Typically for a friendly photograph. Sometimes this gesture is performed discreetly to mock the other person in the photo, with either friendly or unfriendly intentions.

It’s fairly obvious that this was meant to humiliate its victim.

The Very First Picture

March 4, 2008

Camera #25 – Picture #1

This picture is the very first one that I saw for the whole project, and, as such, it holds a spot of honour. But, not only that, it was taken on the exact spot that I left it the camera: on a bench at Roads End State Park in Lincoln City, Oregon on August 29, 2006. As you can see, these kids are holding the envelope that was in the package – seemingly as a way to mark the beginning of the journey that they take with the camera. And, they do take a journey. Take a look at Camera #25 to check out their holiday.
